Sixty Colleges-One Room-One Night

If the customer is king…and the customer prefers one-stop shopping…and the customer is in search of data on colleges and universities…then Lake Michigan College is ready to welcome you to your new kingdom called "College Night."

It's essentially your chance to personally visit more than 60 colleges and universities in one room, in one night — College Night.

Lake Michigan College will host its annual College Night on Monday, September 26 on the Napier Avenue Campus in Benton Harbor. Those who attend the free event can meet with representatives from more than 60 colleges and universities throughout the Midwest. It's a veritable one-stop shop for college-bound high school students and their parents, as well as returning adult students and even transferring community college students, who are all encouraged to attend.

Doug Schaffer is Lake Michigan College's Vice President of Student Services. He tells us, “Students have so much to consider when deciding on a college to attend. We try to make it easier by hosting over 60 colleges in one location, so students can get their questions answered without numerous road trips and hours of online research.”

Among the participating schools are Andrews University, Central Michigan University, the College for Creative Studies, Ferris State University, Grand Valley State University, Indiana University-South Bend, Lake Michigan College, Michigan Technological University, Saint Mary’s College, Siena Heights University and the University of Michigan.

College Night will be held from 6 to 7:30pm, on Monday, September 26th, in the Grand Upton Hall of The Mendel Center, which is located on the Benton Harbor campus at 2755 East Napier Avenue.
