Unique Business Finance Workshop Set

If the New Year finds you preparing to launch a new business or simply working to solidify plans to make 2017 more successful, several groups are teaming up to do everything in their power to get you there next month. A special workshop from the crew at SCORE of Kalamazoo/Southwest Michigan and the Women’s Business Center at Cornerstone Alliance is designed specifically to help define multiple paths to develop the dollars you need to get started in business or to grow the business that you already have.

Kellen Van Hulle and Tim Dyer are Commercial Loan Officers at Edgewater Bank of St. Joseph. They will join Edgewater President & CEO Rick Dyer in presenting a Tuesday evening workshop on January 17th from 5:30pm to 7pm at the offices of Kinexus of Benton Harbor, located at 499 W. Main Street at the Riverview traffic rotary downtown.

The workshop will address the pros & cons of applying for a commercial loan through various sources including standard bank financing at various levels, as well as the broad options in the new areas of FinTech and crowd funding — each with potential positive and negative effects for managing your business.

The workshop will also provide all participants with a handout derived from loan approval experience, offering recommendations of what documents to include when requesting a loan. The materials will also cover specific elements to cover in your individual business plan, organized in a simple but compete request format. Those characteristics are keys to having a lending representative understand your specific need, grant approval, and provide you with funding.

So, whether you are just starting a business or firming up your plans to advance your enterprise in 2017, make plans to register by clicking the link below. The on-line fee, including all materials, is just $15 per person by PayPal or credit card. There is a payment at the door option, however that fee rises to $20 by cash or check only.
