Out of hundreds of hospitals nationwide, there are just 25 that share the common trait this year of having a nationally recognized Top Hospital Marketer on board, and one of them is right here in Michigan’s Great Southwest. The work of Megan Yore at Lakeland Health is being recognized as in the top of the class of Top Hospital Marketers of the Year, selected by Hospital National Perspectives, Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia.
Yore is Chief Marketing & Communications Officer for Lakeland in St. Joe, and has been recognized in the fifth annual class of Top Hospital Marketers of the Year. Hospital Marketing National Perspectives, Inc. is the leading conference, training, and publishing company for the consumer marketing of hospitals, pharmaceuticals, and healthcare products nationwide.
The Top Hospital Marketers of the Year Awards recognize extraordinary hospital marketers driving innovation, spearheading great creative, and working toward better branding for their hospital, health system, or facility. Honorees were judged based on industry reputation, accomplishments, innovation, and notoriety among their peers, partners, and media. The 25 winners, including Yore, will be honored at the national conference on June 5th and 6th in Atlanta.

In addition to 11 years in the healthcare industry, Megan Yore has held marketing and communications leadership roles in banking, education, and retail services. She currently serves as President of the Michigan Society of Healthcare Planning and Marketing as well as on the board of directors for United Way of Southwest Michigan and the Lincoln Township Library. Yore earned a bachelor’s degree in English literature from the University of Michigan and a master’s degree in English/professional writing from Western Michigan University.
