24-Hour New Buffalo Fitness Center Expanding to Three Oaks This Summer

The very definition of her business name has suggested all along that Katie Maroney was destined to have a second location for her popular Equilibrium Fitness in Southwest Michigan’s Harbor Country. “A state of physical balance,” is how you define equilibrium, so Maroney is adding a second 24-hour gym this summer in the Village of Three Oaks, to balance out her current facility.

Maroney launched Equilibrium Fitness of New Buffalo nearly five years ago and her success there dictated the new growth announced on Flag Day when she alerted Facebook fans to the the fact that she will open her second location in downtown Three Oaks this summer.

The new 24-hour facility will be located at 5 West Ash Street in Unit 4 according to Katie, a Certified Personal Trainer under the National Academy of Sports Medicine. She is originally from New Buffalo, and grew up playing many sports in the region. As a former Division I College Athlete, she brings vast health and wellness knowledge to the community.

Regarding the decision to add a second facility, Katie says, “We are expanding to meet the needs of our current member base and to reach other surrounding communities that are under-served in the fitness realm.”

Maroney says the new Equilibrium Fitness facility offers an easily accessible, affordable, clean, secure and motivating space where people of all fitness levels can feel comfortable working out. It will feature brand new state-of-the-art cardio equipment, free weights, kettlebells, and innovative functional training equipment.

Personal training will be available to members ages 18 and up this fall. Group training classes will also be offered and open to the public for ages 12 and up. Memberships are flexible and include 24/7 access to both the Three Oaks and New Buffalo facilities, as well as discounts on all fitness classes.

As an incentive to new members, Katie says, “We are waiving the $50 activation fee on new annual memberships if you sign up now through July 15th.” She also notes, “Current members will be invited to take an exclusive sneak peek at the new Three Oaks facility.” Maroney says updates on the new facility will be posted on the Equilibrium Fitness website as well as on her Facebook fan page, on her Twitter and Instagram pages.

Equilibrium Fitness is Harbor Country’s premier 24-hour fitness facility. The New Buffalo facility, as shown in the photo accompanying this story on Moody on the Market, is located at 705 West Buffalo Street and offers weekly spin cycle classes.
