The professional ranks at Lakeland Health have recently gained new expertise in three key disciplines thanks to the arrival of new players in the system. One is a Nephrologist…one is a Dermatologist…and one is an Endocrinologist all new to the Lakeland Health family.
Lakeland Health recently welcomed Dr. Sambhavi Krishnamoorthy to its medical staff. She is seeing patients alongside Doctors Daniel Brash, Katherine Kwon and Oliver Songlinco at Lake Michigan Nephrology, located at 3800 Hollywood Road in Suite 104 in St. Joseph. The practice cares for adult patients with kidney disease and hypertension.
Dr. Krishnamoorthy finished her Nephrology fellowship at Barnes Jewish Hospital through Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at the University of Louisville where she served as a member of the Internal Medicine Steering Committee. She earned her medical degree at Seth GS Medical College located in Mumbai, India. She is a member of the American Society of Nephrology, Renal Physicians Association, and the American College of Physicians.
Stonegate Dermatology, a Lakeland Health Affiliate, will soon open within the Stonegate Medical Center at 3901 Stonegate Park in St. Joseph. That facility is co-located next to a plastic surgery practice and outpatient surgery center, along with a state of the art medical spa. Dermatologist Riddhi Shah will begin seeing patients in October.
Dr. Shah completed her fellowship and residency training with Lakeland Health. During that time, she served as Chief Resident, and was an active member of the Graduate Medical Education Committee. Prior to relocating to Michigan's Great Southwest, Dr. Shah completed a dermatology internship at the University Hospitals Richmond Medical Center in Richmond Heights, Ohio. She earned her medical degree from Midwestern University, Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Downers Grove, Illinois. She is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology.

Lakeland Health also recently welcomed Dr. Amanda Morris to its medical staff and she is now caring for patients at Lakeland Diabetes & Edocrinology, located at 3950 Hollywood Road in Suite 288, within the Health Park Medical Suites of St. Joseph. That practice helps patients more effectively manage diabetes and other disorders of the endocrine system, also known as the collection of glands that produce hormones that regulate metabolism, growth and development, tissue function, sexual function, reproduction, sleep, and mood, among other things.
Dr. Morris earned her medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pennsylvania before coming to Lakeland Health to complete her internal medicine residency. Recently, she completed her endocrinology fellowship at McLaren Macomb in Mt. Clemens, Michigan. Dr. Morris is a member of many organizations including the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, American College of Osteopathic Internal Medicine and the Endocrine Society.
