Winner’s Circle Auction Tops Quarter Million

Just when you think you’ve done the best you could ever do, you take a quantum leap forward and surpass your wildest dreams. Such might be the case for the cast and crew who work diligently every year to stage the amazing Lake Michigan College Winner’s Circle Benefit Auction. The final results from last month’s auction have now been posted, and the 27th Annual Benefit Auction this year raised more than $280,000.

That’s well over a quarter-million dollars that will now be ready for use as student scholarships to attend any of the campuses of Lake Michigan College in Michigan’s Great Southwest. The annual affair has earned several million dollars to help cover the costs of tuition at the college in the many years they’ve been hosting the event.

Auctioneer Dan McCrery, owner of Tosi’s Restaurant in Stevensville, helped convince bidders to empty their pockets at a near record pace this year and thanks to the support of the hundreds of people on hand, people in the community will have a better chance at a great education and a better standard of living.

Auction Co-Chairs Anna & Rick Murphy applauded the myriad committee chairs and other fundraisers who helped score the huge success at this year’s auction, while thanking the hundreds of businesses, organizations, and individuals who supported the event through contributions of scholarships, the purchase of items, and through their attendance on the big night of the event. If you missed it, make plans now to get next year’s event on your calendar. The date for the 28th Winner’s Circle Auction has already been established — it will take place on Saturday, March 3, 2018.
