Last summer when I told you about the television producer who spent more than 11 years in the booth for Oprah Winfrey and her role with JohnsonRauhoff, Tracey Carter was in search of people eager to learn how to cook and improve their culinary skills. Well, Tracey’s back, only this time she has an immediate casting call for your babies and toddlers, and a bit longer term look at unique, eye-catching homes across the region.
Carter is a Producer for the JohnsonRauhoff studio in Benton Harbor and she was delighted with your response to the casting call for Sur la Table and Bon Appetit. Now, she’s in search of babies, toddlers and children aged 3 months to four years old, for a live talent casting call for a premium baby stroller brand that the crew at JohnsonRauhoff is creating marketing materials for.
Carter is looking for both boys and girls for the casting call which will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, June 7, 2017 from 9am until noon and again from 1pm until 4pm at the JR Studio at 300 W. Britain Avenue in Benton Harbor, next to Pearson Construction Company. No previous experience is necessary.
If you have a child or children you’d like to be considered, you can simply show up during the live casting call times of 9am until noon or 1-4pm at 300 W. Britain Avenue, or you can sign up online for the JR Casting database by clicking this link: http://casting.johnsonrauhoff.com/
Meanwhile, Carter’s team and colleagues are continuing their ongoing search for location shooting in private homes across the region for use in national advertising campaigns. The award-winning communication studio routinely dispatches their experienced, professional teams to photograph on-location at residential homes across the country for well-known brands including KitchenAid, Calphalon and Sur La Table.
They would love to add your home, property, or site to their list of viable locations for future shoots, if it fits the bill for a particular project they are working on. At your convenience, the JohnsonRauhoff team will visit to take scout photos for a client presentation. If it’s a fit, they will check your availability and book accordingly.
Here are a few things you can expect if your home or site is selected:
- Liability insurance provided
- Location compensation
- Crew size ranges from 6-8 people but can vary
- Typically 8 hours of production but can vary
If you are interested in having your home or site considered for selection, you can let the JR team know what you have to offer by joining their locations database by clicking the link below to sign up:

Tracey Carter knows her business well, having been with Oprah for more than 11 years at Harpo Studios in Chicago. She is a Lakeshore High School grad from the same class as JR President Mason Johnson. She studied film at NYU in the Big Apple and started working for a small video production facility that was doing some work for Oprah, and that became the connection that led to working for Harpo as a Production Manager and later Producer for the popular show.
Eager to return to her roots, Carter signed on with JohnsonRauhoff and is loving her role there. Her new full-service JR Soundstage includes three BlackMagic Design 4k studio cameras with a wide variety of lenses, 30′ by 30′ bicolor overhead light source, a 12′ overhead crane on a rolling dolly, teleprompter, and a control booth with remote access and the ability to switch up to eight camera feeds.
JohnsonRauhoff continues to impress major league clients with the skill base and talent of their army of people on staff. In fact, it was the outstanding work JR continues to produce for The Home Depot that attracted the interest of Sur la Table who hired on as a client, moving the video production projects from a studio in Denver to the new JR Soundstage.
JR has been doing smaller scale short-form videos and top-flight still photography for clients nationwide, but the new soundstage has proven to be a true game changer.
The company which was born here in 1969 continues to reach out to the community it calls home, and your children, family members and even your own home could end up in major national advertising campaigns because of the work they do.
