Two Star Attractions Below the Bluff Will Close for Maintenance Soon

Two of the most heavily traveled destination attractions in Michigan’s Great Southwest have been enjoying great times over the Christmas and New Year’s break, but they will soon be closed for two weeks of much-needed maintenance and tender loving care to get them ready for ongoing excitement among the younger set in the year ahead.

The Curious Kids’ Discovery Zone located at 333 Broad Street, below the bluff in Saint Joseph and located inside the Silver Beach Center will be closed to refinish the floors from January 8 through January 21, 2018. During that same time frame, the Silver Beach Carousel itself will be also be shuttered for maintenance of the colorful ride.

In a grateful gesture, so that members don’t come up short, all Discovery Zone memberships will be honored at the top of the bluff at the sister property, the Curious Kids’ Museum, affording those members a change of pace on two levels of fun overlooking Lake Bluff Park and the shoreline of Lake Michigan.

The Curious Kids’ Discovery Zone regular hours will resume when it re-opens for business on Thursday, January 25 at 4PM.

At the Curious Kids’ Museum, the hours of operation are Wednesday through Saturday, 10AM to 5PM and on Sundays from 10AM to 4PM. Admission for the museum is $6 for everyone age 1 and older. Members and under age one are admitted free of charge.

Geared for ages 3-12 years, Discovery Zone is located just steps away from Curious Kids’ Museum, in the Silver Beach Center along with the Silver Beach Carousel at 333 Broad Street in St. Joseph.
