Fifth New Indiana Branch for United Federal Opens in Mishawaka

The ongoing expansion of United Federal Credit Union into Northwest Indiana continued last week as the team from United hosted formal ribbon-cutting ceremonies on their fifth new Indiana branch, this time along Bremen Highway in Mishawaka.

United Federal hosted the ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new branch, located at 3630 Bremen Highway, marking the fourth free-standing United branch to open in Northern Indiana since 2018, and fifth in Indiana overall.

Alysa Snell is United’s Market Vice President for Indiana. She says, “The Bremen Highway branch is special because it is centrally located off the bypass, and personifies some of the exceptional work taking place with the Regional Partnership initiatives,” adding, “It’s all about connecting people and communities for a brighter, more prosperous future. The Mishawaka community as well as our surrounding communities will have access to the world-class products and services that only United can provide.”

Jackie Martinez will lead the Bremen Highway location as branch manager. Martinez will use her financial services and leadership experience to maintain the performance of the branch, provide solutions to members, and leadership and supervision to staff. Prior to her appointment as Bremen Highway branch manager in August of 2019, Martinez served as Financial Center Manager at a Midwest banking institution in South Bend.

Martinez tells us, “It takes a dynamic team to make this new branch successful, and I’m happy to say we have a special group of employees at the Bremen Highway branch.” The new Branch Manager adds, “This team is dedicated, passionate, and self-less; they know the value of putting our members first. Every day they go above and beyond, because it’s what they believe in; it’s the right thing to do.”

United first opened the doors to that new 2,500 square foot branch on September 23rd and is currently serving members there. Construction of the branch building started in January and was managed by The Redmond Company. The Bremen Highway branch is a full-service extension of United, offering personal and business banking services including loans, mortgages, and investment planning.

United now has five branches in Indiana—four located in the Mishawaka/South Bend area, and one located in Griffith.

United Federal has served its members since 1949 by helping them to build a sound financial future. United consists of more than 174,000 member/owners worldwide and manages assets in excess of $2.8 billion. Its corporate offices and main branch are in St. Joseph, with additional branches elsewhere in Michigan as well as in Arkansas, Indiana, Nevada, North Carolina, and Ohio.
