Serious and recreational runners will want to run or walk along scenic Lake Michigan and the St. Joseph River, in downtown St. Joseph, to celebrate the annual Race for YMCA 5K/10K!
If you’re not up to running outside, you could consider participating virtually.
With a virtual race, you can run the distance anywhere, for example in your neighborhood, on a treadmill, or at a nearby park. Virtual runners or walkers will be allotted time between Saturday-Sunday, July 17-25, to complete the race and upload your time. Virtual races are self-timed. Virtual participants will still receive this year’s race shirt and official race bib. Virtual race details will be emailed to participants.
Proceeds from the race will benefit the Benton Harbor-St. Joseph YMCA’s annual campaign which provides financial assistance for memberships and programs to local children and families in need.
Participants will meet at 8:30 a.m.-noon, Saturday, July 17, a Margaret B. Upton Arboretum, 280 Water Street, St. Joseph, MI
