New Year, New Performances at the Acorn Theatre

Tucked away on Generations Drive in Three Oaks sits the historic, regal building that houses the Acorn Theatre. It is known for its’ exciting array of performances, offering live music by local musicians and famous acts, open mic nights, and more. In 2021, The Acorn hosted over 50 shows, and still has two to go. Their Holiday Open Mic Night will take place on Wednesday December 22nd at 8:00 pm, and Christmas At The Acorn on Thursday December 23rd will feature the Harbor Country Opera led by founder Robert Swan, also at 8:00pm.

The new year is almost upon us and The Acorn’s upcoming 2022 season is overflowing with wonderful shows:
January 8th welcomes the return of the Brooklyn Charmers, a Steely Dan tribute band that packs the house time and time again.
Jethro Tull’s Martin Barre and The Martin Barre Band take the stage on January 19th at 7:00pm, and will showcase Jethro Tull’s most popular album Aqualung, as it celebrates its 50th anniversary this year.
Sunday January 23rd features BLKBOK, a Detroit born and raised piano prodigy that offers an immersive and explosive musical experience with each live performance. This will be his Acorn Theatre debut.

The month of February brings in Matt Schofield on Friday the 4th, The Chicago Experience on Saturday the 5th, and a film screening of Louder Than Love on Friday February 11th.

Open Mic Nights are sprinkled throughout the 2022 season and are hosted by dynamic local musicians with a passion for performing. A full calendar of events and shows is available at acornlive.org, where you can purchase tickets, gift cards, and donate to keep the arts alive.
