Twin City Players will hold a Director’s Forum and Auditions for the final show of its 90th Season, the musical First Date, book by Austin Winsberg, music and lyrics by Alan Zachary and Michael Weiner.
A Director’s Forum will be held Tuesday March 14 at 7 pm for anyone interested in learning more about the show and the upcoming auditions. All are encouraged to attend to ask questions and find out how they can participate either on stage or volunteering backstage. Auditions are scheduled for Saturday March 25 at 1 pm and Sunday March 26 at 6 pm. All three dates will be held in the Studio. Twin City Players is located at 600 West Glenlord Road, St. Joseph, Michigan 49085. Jacob Holmes directs the production.
When tightly wound Aaron is set up with cool girl Casey, a quick drink turns into a hilarious dinner served with sides of Google background checks, fake emergency phone calls, a slew of bad boy and uptown girl exes, and some seriously saucy chemistry. Can this mismatched pair turn what could be a dating disaster into something special before the check arrives, or end up at another table for one?
A list of cast/characters needed and additional information to prepare for auditions is available on the TCP audition page at www.twincityplayers.org. Tickets are also available at the website. All ethnicities are encouraged to audition. For questions, please contact the director at jtholmes93@gmail.com.
Show dates are June 2-25, 2023, Friday & Saturday at 7:30 pm and Sunday at 2 pm. First Date is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals. www.concordtheatricals.com.
