The Mendell Center at Lake Michigan College is reminding concert goers of an early September date that they may want to add to their calendars.
Performing one of jazz’s most sought-after live concerts, Jonathan Dely leads his All-Star Band across the United States, from venues including Lincoln Center in New York to dates throughout the West Coast. Now, the Lake Michigan College Mendel Center welcomes him and two special guests to the Lake Michigan College Mendel Center.
Dely is an award-winning musician who is heralded as an “extraordinary talent” and “a star in the making”. Critics say he delivers a live show that is as dynamic and energetic as it is cool and romantic. Expect a cross-genre performance in the vein of Chris Botti that is sure to delight audiences of all ages and broad music tastes.
Dely’s career is the subject of the 2023 short-form movie “Goodbye Jonathan’s Soul,” directed by legendary filmmaker Bob Giraldi. This brief film will open the performance on the Mendel Center Mainstage.
