Area businesses are helping raise money to renovate a local park. The latest contributor is St. Joseph’s Silver Beach Pizza.
Silver Beach Pizza is hosting a giveback fundraiser on Monday, January 29 from 4 to 9 pm. Silver Beach Pizza’s owners have announced they will donate 20 percent of sales all night to support Berrien County Parks.
NOTE: Customers must present the flier (either printed or on your phone) for Silver Beach Pizza to make a donation. The flier can be found on the Silver Beach County Park Facebook page or berriencounty.org/parks. The fundraising applies to dine in and carry out orders.
Berrien County Parks is working to replace the current 30+ year old playground with an improved structure that allows visitors to enjoy without barriers or limitations. The County Parks was awarded a Michigan Department of Natural Resources SPARK Grant to cover $850,000 of the $1.2 million project. Currently, the Parks Department has raised 72% of the project goal.
The desired improvements include a variety of innovative elements encouraging movement, climbing, tactile, visual, and auditory experiences.
If you can’t make the pizza event, the Silver Beach County Park Playground Project special fund is set up at the Berrien Community Foundation.
Tax-deductible donations can be made directly, online at berriencommunity.org/SilverBeachPlayground. Or, funds can be mailed or dropped off at:
