Downtown St. Joseph will be getting into its ‘summer schedule’ of events, beginning tomorrow (Friday), with the annual Memorial Day Parade and Saturday with the kickoff of the popular Farmers Market in Lake Bluff Park.
The parade starts at 12:00 noon Friday and travels along Lake Boulevard from Park Street to Port Street in downtown St. Joseph . Immediately following the parade, there will be a short memorial ceremony held at the John E.N. Howard Bandshell, across from the Whitcomb Retirement Residence.
Market-goers will enjoy fresh finds at the weekly St. Joe Farmers Market held in Lake Bluff Park. The 2025 St. Joe Farmers Market season kicks off Saturday, May 24 from 9:00a–2:00p and includes a variety of products such as baked goods, locally grown produce, perennials and cut flowers, meats and cheeses, coffee and more.
Farmers Markets have grown in popularity as the demand for fresh, locally sourced produce and goods has increased. SJ Today Executive Director Paul Knapp said, “Take the time to chat with vendors who are excited to talk about their products as well as share recipes, planting recommendations, cooking tips and more.”
The Farmers Market will be open Saturdays, May 24 through October 11 from 9:00a-2:00p.
