The Applebee’s restaurant on Pipestone Road in Benton Harbor has a fresh new look, thanks to a major renovation completed without ever closing its doors.

Located at Exit 27 off I-94, the 5,500-square-foot restaurant has been updated inside and out with new lighting, paint, doors, signage, reupholstered booths, and updated artwork that reflects the local community. Upgrades also include a modernized bar area, enhanced to-go section, improved restrooms, and a more welcoming atmosphere overall.

The Benton Harbor location is operated by TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants (TSFR), a Michigan-based, family-owned company with more than 120 restaurants statewide.

“We’re proud to invest in Benton Harbor—not just in our restaurant, but in the people who make this community so special,” says General Manager Stephanie Brinkman.

As part of the reopening celebration, Applebee’s hosted a July 3 “Dine to Donate” fundraiser, donating 20% of the day’s sales to Present Pillars, a Benton Harbor nonprofit focused on empowering local fathers.

A formal grand reopening and ribbon cutting is set for Monday, July 21 at 10 a.m., featuring representatives from TEAM Schostak, the Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber, city leaders, and special guests. The restaurant will also present a donation check to Present Pillars during the event.
