Michigan Works! is announcing a job fair on Thursday, Sept. 4. Organizers say they’re bringing an estimated 25 employers to meet with job seekers. The event will also feature support services and aims to connect local businesses with job candidates.
The hiring event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Michigan Works! Service Center, located at 499 W. Main St. in Benton Harbor.
Organizers say the event is part of a series by Michigan Works! to address talent challenges for local businesses. Officials say previous event saw 23 employers connect with 261 job seekers, resulting in several on-the-spot interviews and job placements.
This upcoming job fair will also include resource providers to help individuals with education, training, and support services.
Job seekers are encouraged to arrive interview-ready with an updated resume. They can also pre-register and view the list of attending employers online. Companies interested in hosting a table can contact Michael Mompremier at MompremierM@miworks.org.
Organizers say capacity is limited. For more information, visit the Michigan Works! website.
