The Krasl Art Center has announced this year’s George Krasl Memorial Concert, set for September 20 at 3 p.m. at The Livery in Benton Harbor. The free event will feature Chicago-based ensemble Beyond This Point, a collaborative group known for experimental performances combining music, sound art, lighting, installation, and live electronics.
The concert follows a panel discussion tied to the center’s current exhibition, Hull-House Artists in Chicago & Beyond. The discussion, scheduled from 1 to 2 p.m. at Krasl Art Center, will include guest curator Michael R. Hill, independent curator Anne Morse, artist Nina Carazzo, and University of Chicago instructor Lin Atnip.
Founded in 1980, the Krasl Art Center offers contemporary art exhibitions, workshops, classes, and public art installations across southwest Michigan. Its mission is to strengthen community and inspire change through the visual arts.
