There will be another option for pizza on the edge of downtown South Haven, starting in late November.
Papa Johns, the national chain that closed an earlier South Haven location several years ago, says it will locate at 359 Broadway. It’s an existing building, red brick with green thrim, that once housed a Family Video store.
Papa Johns hasn’t made any formal announcements, but has been teasing the South Haven opening on social media. Today, they posted some construction photos and projected their opening date for “November 2025.’
The photos suggest there’s a lot of installation and finishing work still to complete. But they also suggest a relatively roomy and sizeable pizza store. Lately, some national pizza brands, including Pizza Hut, have been downsizing stores and eliminating ‘eat in’ space in their restaurants. While Papa Johns hasn’t said anything in that regard about South Haven, their construction photos appear to show plenty of room for sit-down, as well as carryout service.
