Berrien RESA official named “Best Example of Professional Development in the Midwest”

John Phillips, Technology & Innovation Consultant for Berrien RESA, has been named the 2025 winner of Tech & Learning Magazine’s “Best Example of Professional Development in the Midwest” award. The honor recognizes his hands-on, educator-friendly STEAM training programs that help teachers integrate Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics concepts into their classrooms.

According to the announcement from Berrien RESA, Phillips’ professional development courses cover maker-centered learning, game-based strategies, 3D printing, digital workflows, and accessibility, providing practical, ready-to-use tools that improve student engagement, collaboration, and problem-solving.
