Fernwood Botanical Garden will host its annual Edible Horticulture Event on Saturday, February 28, bringing together chefs, farmers, and gardeners from across the Michiana region to celebrate local food and sustainable growing practices.

Participants will hear from regional food leaders about what’s happening behind the scenes in kitchens, farms, and orchards, and learn how their work strengthens local communities and food systems. The event includes presentations from featured speakers Tara Newman of The Culinary Cottage, Molly Muchow of Verdant Hollow Farms, and Paula Camp of Carriage House Ciders.

Attendees will enjoy a catered lunch from the Grateful Pie Company at Fernwood and will have the opportunity to explore an exhibitors’ hall showcasing local food businesses and organizations offering products, services, and expertise.

The program is designed for adults and teens. Cost is $60 ($48 for Fernwood members). Advance registration is required by February 25.

The event is sponsored by Edible Michiana magazine.
