Under construction for several months, the new Martin’s Express gas and convenience store is open at Hilltop Road and Cleveland Avenue in St. Joseph–next to Martin’s Supermarket.

Martin’s began quietly pumping gas yesterday, however they are shouting about their Grand Opening event next Thursday, March 12, when they’ll offer 50 cents per gallon off the regular price all day Thursday, then 15 cents off for a full week.

Here’s the word from Martin’s PR department:

The Martin’s Express fuel center is here! To mark the debut of the brand new 2,500-square-foot facility in St. Joseph, Mich., Martin’s Express is hosting a community event featuring deep fuel discounts and a first look at an upgraded fresh and fast food experience.

Customers will receive $0.50 off per gallon of gas all day long – and then $0.15 off per gallon for the next 30 days. This grand-opening celebration allows guests to explore the new space, which now features a walk-in beer cave, freshly-made breakfast sandwiches and expanded Grab & Go offerings.
