Area Agency on Aging is hosting free classes to help people manage diabetes in St. Joseph, Cassopolis and Niles starting in April.
Diabetes PATH (Personal Action Towards Health) is a six-week interactive workshop designed to help individuals with diabetes or pre-diabetes improve their health and feel better.

Diabetes PATH teaches practical skills for living a healthy life with diabetes. It was developed and tested by Stanford University and is designed to complement your current medical treatments.
The workshop teaches how to: deal with the challenges of not feeling well; talk to healthcare workers and family members; overcome stress and relax; make healthy eating plans and prevent low-blood sugar; prevent or delay complications; and stay independent.
The cost for the six-week workshop is free. Family members, friends or caregivers are also encouraged to attend. Class sizes are limited and pre-registration is required.
