Brandywine Community Schools has announced the groundbreaking of the new Career and Technical Education Center. Groundbreaking will take place on June 1 at 4 p.m. at Brandywine Middle/Senior High School.

The new facility will house the Machine Tool, Automotive, Cabinet Making and Millwork programs at Brandywine. These programs serve students from Brandywine, as well as students from Buchanan, Niles, Berrien Springs, and River Valley.

The project is part of the 2024 bond initiative that was passed by the Brandywine is community.

“We are incredibly fortunate to have a community that invests in its youth through the passing of this bond, and local business leaders who have stood by us every step of the way. Together, we are creating a direct pipeline from the classroom to great careers, right here in our region,” said Superintendent Travis Walker.

The facility has an estimated completion date of December 2026.
