Accounting Workshops for Entrepreneurs Coming From Cornerstone

Regardless of what the new tax laws will mean to your individual business enterprise, the team at Cornerstone Alliance Small Business Services and the Women’s Business Center want to make sure you are well-versed in handling the books for your business and bring you classes in the New Year to help keep you on track.

Cornerstone Alliance Small Business Services and the Women’s Business Center at Cornerstone Alliance will offer two QuickBooks workshops starting in January 2018, with both workshops focusing on the success and growth of entrepreneurs in Michigan’s Great Southwest. Registration is required, and space is limited.

Dates and details of the workshops are:

QuickBooks Detect & Correct, coming January 17, 2018 from 9:00am-1:00pm at Lake Michigan College’s South Haven Campus located at 125 Veterans Boulevard in Room 216 at South Haven. Registration deadline is January 10. The workshop fee is $50. Whether learning to find your own mistakes or cleaning up for year-end taxes and reporting, this workshop, facilitated by QuickBooks ProAdvisor Anna Burke, focuses on the essentials to give you insight into your numbers. Detect & Correct topics include:

  • Analyzing reports
  • Error detection
  • Top 12 mistakes and fixes
  • Improving productivity

QuickBooks Desktop will be presented on January 23rd, 30th & February 6th, 2018, from 1:00-4:00pm at the offices of Cornerstone Alliance located at 80 W. Main Street in downtown Benton Harbor. The registration deadline is January 16th. The workshop fee is $150. This three-course series, facilitated by QuickBooks ProAdvisor Anna Burke, will cover basic functionality and best-practices. Participants will learn how to:

  • Create accounts
  • Enter financial data
  • Prepare and interpret financial reports
