Allegan County Emergency Ops Center Seek’s Vaccination Clinic Volunteers

In anticipation of the forthcoming release of a coronavirus vaccine, the Allegan County Public Health Department and Allegan County Emergency Management team are being proactive in order to be ready once vaccination clinics are established there.

The two organizations are seeking clinical and non-clinical volunteers to assist with COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics throughout Allegan County once a vaccine has received Emergency Use Authorization (EUA).

COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics are being planned for the next several months. Clinical volunteers are those who are authorized to administer vaccinations as part of their profession, including:

  • Paramedics
  • Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT’s)
  • Medical First Responders

Non-clinical volunteers would be those that can assist with inventory, transportation, greetings, security, screenings, and language needs. All volunteers will be required to participate in a background check before helping at the clinics.

Dan Wedge, Allegan County Emergency Operations Center Public Information Officer says that information being collected at this time is your name, phone, and e-mail contact. If you are interested in joining the Allegan County Vaccination COVID-19 Team, you are asked to fill out the Volunteer Registry Form which can be accessed at the link below:
