A major rock lineup is headed to West Michigan this fall, as Breaking Benjamin will headline a Saturday night concert at the Allegan County Fair.
The multi-platinum hard rock band will take the Fair’s main stage on Saturday, September 12 at 6 p.m., joined by special guests Chevelle, Starset, and Kami Kehoe.
Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, February 20 at 10 a.m. Fair organizers say followers of the Allegan County Fair will receive information about a special presale opportunity taking place the day before, on Thursday, February 19. Tickets will be issued as print-at-home or mobile-only, with confirmation sent immediately after purchase. Access to view or print tickets will be available three days prior to the show.
For fans of modern rock, it’s a big booking for the region. Breaking Benjamin, formed in Pennsylvania and fronted by founding member Benjamin Burnley, broke through in the early 2000s with hits like “So Cold,” “The Diary of Jane,” and “Breath.” The band has sold millions of albums and built a loyal national following with its heavy guitar sound and emotionally charged lyrics.
Chevelle brings its own long-running radio presence, while Starset has carved out a strong following with its cinematic, space-themed rock production. Together, the lineup promises a full evening of high-energy rock under the late-summer lights.
While the Allegan County Fairgrounds is roughly an hour from St. Joseph and Benton Harbor, the Allegan Fair has long drawn concertgoers from across Southwest Michigan. Billed as the largest county fair in West Michigan, the annual September event is known for pairing traditional fair staples—livestock, midway rides, and grandstand shows—with nationally recognized country and rock acts.
Each year, the Fair’s concert announcements signal that Spring is almost here and that late Summer will be here before we know it!
