American Metalcasters Continue to Choose Bridgman’s B&L Information Systems

The metalcasting industry in America continues to rely heavily on Bridgman’s homegrown B&L Information Systems for their revolutionary enterprise resource planning software to streamline operations and keep their businesses thriving.

B&L Information Systems, located on Rambo Road in Bridgman, is the North American leader in metalcasting ERP software. In the first quarter of the new year they have added new metalcasters to their Odyssey family of active users and new sign-ons.

One company went live with new installations of Odyssey ERP in the first quarters of 2021:

  • Southern Alloy Corporation of Sylacauga, Alabama went live with Odyssey. Southern Alloy has been specializing in corrosion resistant, abrasion resistant, and heat resistant alloys since 1958.

During the January to March 2021 timeframe, two other new metalcasting companies signed on to the Cloud-based Odyssey ERP software system including:

  • H&H Castings, Inc. of York, Pennsylvania. H&H began in 1965 when the Haugh family opened a full-service aluminum foundry in Wrightsville, PA. They were founded on the principal that quality builds loyal business, H&H initially focused operations on small run jobs with an emphasis on technicality.
  • Alpha Investment Casting Corp. of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Since 1984, they have specialized in hundreds of different alloys including nickel-based alloys, iron-based alloys, cobalt based alloys, aluminum-bronze, and aluminum. Their diverse customer base includes oilfield, control valves, mining, civil applications and safety systems, to name a few.

Kristine Craft, Vice President of Professional Services for B&L says, “Southern Alloy Corporation located in Sylacauga, Alabama went live with Odyssey on March 1st, 2021. They began their implementation in June of 2020, right during the pandemic. Most of the work was done remotely including Kickoff, Business Analysis, Training, Testing and creation of key reports through go-live and post go-live support.” She adds, “We were able to get out in October as a follow up to some of the training.”

Craft tells us, “From the Business Analysis we learned they (Southern Alloy) had multiple databases that we were able to consolidate into one central point – Odyssey. The Customer Purchase Order entry through Shipping and Invoicing process was also improved by saving them data entry time since they only had one place to enter information and print documents from.”

B&L Information Systems is the global leader in cloud-based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software for foundries, die casters and investment casters. Since 1976, the rapidly growing Bridgman company has implemented their unique ERP solutions at over 450 metalcasting operations, making their cloud-based Odyssey ERP match the manner in which metalcasters operate. With Odyssey, metalcasters maximize their resources, minimize costs, and make better decisions faster.
