Armed Robber Sought in Early Morning Hold Ups in Hamilton & Holland

A fairly distinctive car was used in a pair of early morning hold-ups today in Allegan County’s Overisel Township and in Holland, and police are hopeful you’ll help them find the one-of-a-kind car and the driver who used it in pre-dawn armed robberies at service station and convenience stores near Hamilton and in Holland.

Allegan County Sheriff’s Deputies are looking for a four door, silver car with a maroon hood. They are not certain of the make or model, but you can see a surveillance camera capture in the photo accompanying this story on Moody on the Market, as police ask for help in capturing the man responsible for the early morning armed robberies.

The Hamilton incident happened at 6:45am at the Hamilton Mobil Mart service station and convenience store located at 3604 M-40 in Overisel Township.

Authorities issued an alert for a suspect described by them as “A dark-skinned individual, 5’6” to 5’7” in height, 140 lbs., wearing a dark jacket, blue jeans, face mask, and Converse Chuck Taylor tennis shoes.

A weapon was used in each incident.

Allegan County authorities are working jointly with the Holland Police Department as they had a similar incident just prior at 1122 Lincoln Avenue, at the Holland Mobil Mart.

The vehicle was last seen heading northbound from Hamilton on a side street.

If you have any information on the vehicle or these incidents, you are asked to please contact Detective C. Haverdink at chaverdink@allegancounty.org or 269.673.0500 Ext. 4452, or Silent Observer at 1.800.554.3633.

Both armed robberies remain under investigation.
