This is shaping up to be a pretty important year in the life of Realtor Ryan Arnt. He recently announced his candidacy for the seat of State Representative Al Pscholka, and now his colleagues have selected him as their 2016 Realtor of the Year.
Arnt, who is an Associate Broker with Keller Williams Realty in St. Joseph, was named the 2016 Realtor of the Year for the Southwestern Michigan Association of REALTORS at their Annual Awards Luncheon held recently at the Hilton Garden Inn in Benton Harbor.
Ryan was first licensed as a salesperson in 1999 and received his associate broker’s license in 2002. He holds the professional designations of Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), Graduate Realtors Institute (GRI) and e-PRO Certification for Internet Professionalism from the National Association of Realtors.
In 2010, Ryan served as the Association’s President and was Treasurer and President-Elect in 2008 and 2009 respectively. He also served on the Association’s Finance Committee, chairing the Committee in 2008, Member Services and REIS Technology Committee. He chaired the REIS Technology Committee in 2002.
Ryan was the recipient of the Association’s President Cup in 2013 and received the Most Effective Chairman Award in 2015 for his work on the Governmental Affairs Committee. He served on the Committee 2012 – 2015, chairing the Committee 2013 – 2015. He also received the Southwestern Michigan Association’s Realtor Active In Politics Award in 2015.
As a champion for his profession and home owners, Ryan has also served on the Michigan Realtors Public Policy Committee 2013-2015 and the National Association of Realtors Public Policy Coordinating Committee. He has been serving as the National Association of Realtors Federal Political Coordinator for Congressional District 6, Fred Upton, since 2015.
In the local community, Ryan is a member of the St. Joseph Kickers Sport Club, Lakeshore Rotary Club and serves on the Royalton Township Zoning Board of Appeals. He has been very active in the St. Joseph Kickers Sport Club serving as President from 2009-2013, Vice President in 2008, Secretary in 2006 and 2007 and Treasurer 2014 and 2015.
Ryan and his wife Gretchen reside in Stevensville.
