Spectrum Health Lakeland is welcoming two new healthcare providers to its team. Spectrum Health Lakeland has released the following:
Spectrum Health Lakeland is pleased to welcome obstetrician and gynecologist, Catharine Roos, MD, and certified nurse midwife, Betsy Fuzi, CNM, to the medical staff. Dr. Roos and Fuzi are seeing patients alongside two physicians and six advance care practitioners at BellaNova Women’s Health, located at 3950 Hollywood Rd, Suite 100, in St. Joseph.
Dr. Roos earned her medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in California. She completed an obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN) residency at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. Prior to coming to Lakeland, Dr. Roos served as an OB/GYN at Peak Vista Community Health Centers in Colorado Springs.
Fuzi earned a master’s degree in nursing with a nurse-midwifery certificate from Frontier Nursing University in Kentucky. She has over 15 years of clinical experience as a labor and delivery nurse at Munson Healthcare. Fuzi is also a board-certified lactation consultant.
“Providers at BellaNova Women’s Health are specially-trained to support the diverse health care needs of women in our community,” said Dave Koch, senior director of medical practices, Spectrum Health Lakeland. “Both Dr. Roos and Betsy bring a wealth of knowledge and clinical experience with them to Lakeland and are a welcome addition to the care team.”
