Mike Knytych will throw out the welcome mat tomorrow afternoon and host a Grand Re-Opening of his newly remodeled McDonald’s restaurant at Pipestone and I-94 in Benton Harbor, with a special presentation to the Benton Harbor Public Library.

Knytych owns the Benton Harbor McDonald’s along with a number of others across the region in communities like Coloma and Watervliet and he’s eager to showcase the advancements that have been made to the restaurant following another renovation project which is bringing things into the digital age.

The ribbon cutting ceremony with Cornerstone Chamber of Commerce is slated for tomorrow, Friday, December 21st, from 1 until 2pm and will feature the place’s “new level of choice, engagement and service.”

New self-order kiosks have been installed at the Pipestone eatery, making ordering and paying for a meal easier than ever before.  Guests can browse the menu, find new options and tailor their meal just the way they want.  Their orders are then delivered directly to the table by McDonald’s crewmembers, allowing customers to relax and enjoy a more custom dining experience.

Following the ribbon cutting ceremony, Knytych will present a $1,000 check to officials from the Benton Harbor Public Library.

Knytych says his grand re-opening will also include a family fun event on Saturday, December 22, that will include a balloon artist, a magician and face painting. That event will run from 11 am to 5 pm on Saturday, December 22, at the Benton Harbor restaurant.

You can find the restaurant at 2020 Pipestone Road, alongside the on-ramp to Westbound I-94 in Benton Charter Township. The restaurant was completely rebuilt from the ground up several years ago, and this renovation brightened the interior and added the electronic touch-screen kiosks for an upgraded custom order experience.
