LMC Spring 2026

Lake Michigan College’s Visual & Performing Arts Department will present more than a dozen student performances during the Spring 2026 semester, showcasing music, theatre, and dance at the Mendel Center on the college’s Benton Harbor campus.

All performances will take place at the Mendel Center, located at 2755 E. Napier Ave., and feature LMC students across a wide range of disciplines. The season includes multiple student music recitals, vocal and drama showcases, concerts, and the department’s spring musical production.

The spring schedule begins Feb. 27 with a Student Music Recital at noon in the Hanson Theatre, followed by a Vocal Showcase on March 1 at 2 p.m. Also returning this spring is the LMC theatre program’s musical production, “Big Fish,” which will be staged March 26 through 28 at 7 p.m. and March 29 at 2 p.m. in the Jenkins Theatre.

Additional performances throughout April include student music recitals on April 3 and April 17, the Legacy and Song Concert on April 15, the Southshore Concert Band Spring Concert on April 19, and a Drama Showcase on April 21. The department will also host Jazz Fest, featuring the LMC Jazz Band on April 23 and Vox LMC on April 24, each with a special guest artist.

The Spring 2026 season concludes with the WAVE Awards on May 20 at 7 p.m. in the Jenkins Theatre.

Tickets are required only for “Big Fish” and are available through TheMendelCenter.com/events. All other performances are free, open to the public, and do not require tickets.

According to the college, the Visual & Performing Arts Department provides students with opportunities to gain experience through both classroom instruction and public performance. Many programs are based at the Mendel Center, which serves as the region’s primary performing arts venue and hosts thousands of patrons each year.
