Bill Ford Says Michigan Reacted Quickly To Their Needs

Bill Ford Jr. says the state of Michigan made a lot of changes in its investment policy after his company announced big projects in Kentucky and Tennessee. Ford tells the Mackinac Policy Conference that Michigan wasn’t even considered for those investments. But he also said Michigan Economic Development director Quentin Messer quickly learned what the state needed, and changes were made.

“I give Quentin Messer and Governor Whitmer a ton of credit for reacting very quickly when they realized that Michigan needed to get its act together, and they did .”

That lead to Ford’s electric vehicle battery plant announcement for Marshall. Ford also making a big investment in Detroit for the Michigan Central project.
