If, as experts estimate, upwards of 90-percent of disease is stress-related and massage is the effective tool for managing stress that we all hear about, then the opening of a new service center in the Orchards Mall is, in fact, a blessing to us all. Blessed Kneads Massage Therapy opened recently in the mall and they will conduct their official ribbon cutting ceremony and hold an open house beginning at 4pm this afternoon, Friday, October 13th.
Jennifer VanBusKirk is a certified, licensed and insured Massage Therapist and owns and operates Blessed Kneads in Suite 346 at the mall. Prior to establishing her new practice inside the mall, Jennifer operated as a home-based business, but her success has advanced to the stage where she needed a true, professional space.
Licensed by the State of Michigan, Jennifer opened the shop back in June and has been busy ever since. She’ll be the first to tell you that there’s likely nothing that ages each of us faster than high stress and stress-related illnesses. She utilizes massage to help decrease anxiety levels, enhance sleep capabilities, provide greater energy to clients, afford them improved concentration, increased circulation and reduced fatigue.
Jennifer studied at Delta College in Saginaw, in the Physical Therapy Assistant Program and earned her Certificate of Massage Therapy from the Power of Touch School of Massage Therapy and Flint Schools of Therapuetic Massage In Flint in 2010.
The Mall is located at 1800 Pipestone Road, and with the ribbon cutting taking place at 4pm, the open house will extend to 6pm this evening and everyone is invited to see the space, enjoy live massage demonstrations, register for prizes and enjoy refreshments.
Jennifer worked closely with the Women’s Business Center at Cornerstone Alliance to market her business and explore her expansion options, which led to the new practice. She says, “The marketing information I received from the Women’s Business Center at Cornerstone Alliance was great.”
At Blessed Kneads Massage Therapy, clientele are offered deep tissue, injury therapeutic massages and more. While the majority of the practice is by appointment, walk-ins are welcome on Wednesday afternoons from noon to 7pm.
