Cornerstone Alliance, in partnership with the Michigan Office of Defense and Aerospace Innovation (ODAI) and Lake Michigan College, will host Gateway to Mission Markets on Tuesday, September 16, from 7:30 AM – 9:00 AM at Lake Michigan College’s Todd Center, 2785 E Napier Ave., Benton Harbor.

This roundtable discussion marks the first employer-driven event of its kind in Berrien County, bringing together regional manufacturers and industry leaders to explore how businesses can diversify into defense and aerospace markets. Attendees will learn about resources available through ODAI and discuss future programming designed to strengthen the manufacturing sector in Southwest Michigan.

“Southwest Michigan is home to innovative companies with the talent and capacity to compete in defense and aerospace,” said Greg King, Cornerstone Alliance Director of Economic Development. “This event connects our manufacturers directly with the tools and partners that can help them access new markets and grow their businesses.”

Lake Michigan College will co-host the program with Cornerstone Alliance, providing both space and support for industry engagement.

“Lake Michigan College is committed to fostering partnerships that enhance workforce opportunities,” said Dr. Barbara Craig, Director of Business & Industry Partnerships at Lake Michigan College. “Events like Gateway to Mission Markets highlight how education and industry can work together to create lasting impact for our region.”

This event is free to attend with required advance registration. Breakfast will be provided.
