Taking place this Friday and Saturday is the South Haven HarborFest, one of the biggest celebrations to be held in South Haven each year.

Assistant City Manager Michael Landis tells us there will be all kinds of fun to be had all over town. So, what is HarborFest all about?

“It celebrates the water and all things concurrent with being part of a lakefront community,” Landis said. “There is a craft fair taking place along with kids areas, rides and games. On Saturday, there’s going to be some dragon boat races as well as another craft fair and there’ll be continuous music performed at the Riverfront Park.”

Back for a second triumphant year after a hiatus is the always popular dragon boat races, which will run from 8 to 5 on Saturday. They’ll also have a beer tent and music from David Goyette, Slick Jimmy, and The After Party on Friday. Saturday’s music will be provided by Who Knew, Cowboy Company the Country Music Show, and the Beach Bum Band.

You can find the full HarborFest schedule right here.

This is the 32nd annual South Haven HarborFest.
