The 14th Annual Chili Walk Cook-Off returns to the City of Buchanan on Thursday, April 7th, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Local Businesses and organizations will compete for the title of Best Chili in town, while attendees and local tasters vote for their favorites.
The Buchanan Area Chamber of Commerce and Buchanan Meadows Meridian Senior Living have partnered up to put on the best chili walk in the area. For just $2.00, anyone interested in tasting can purchase a spoon, and gain access to every delicious pot of chili presented. Each year, a portion of funds raised is donated to a local non-profit organization, and this year it will benefit the Buchanan Garden Club.
Beginning (and ending) at Lehman’s Farmhouse & Brewery, the chili tastings will be offered in progressive-dinner style, with each participant walking to the next destination to sample. There are over twenty contestants, meaning over twenty different chilis, and the whole town will be participating in this fun and tasty event. Downtown businesses will be open for mingling and sharing in the community of the evening.
