Honor Credit Union shared news this week about an internal promotion of one of their employees to a new role.

The credit union announced the promotion of Jon Westfall to Commercial Loan Officer. According to Honor’s announcement, Westfall will serve the credit union’s Shoreline Region, which includes Benton Harbor, Coloma, Hartford, St. Joseph, and South Haven communities.

According to the announcement, as part of the Business Services team, Jon will collaborate closely with Honor’s Member Center Managers, Community Development Officers, and other stakeholders to create relationships, support the community, and enhance the business member experience. His role will focus on cultivating and maintaining business member relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and fostering economic development within the communities the credit union serves.

Jon graduated from Andrews University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. He joined Team Honor in 2020 as a Credit Analyst and transitioned to Commercial Credit Manager in 2022.

Prior to joining Honor, he gained experience in property development sales, property management, and
financial services within the Federal government.

“I am eager to contribute to Honor’s mission by expanding our lending footprint in the community. Increased loan activity directly translates to mission impact, bolstering local businesses and individuals alike. These investments drive business growth, job creation, and economic vitality. I am excited to support our local member centers and the surrounding communities,” said Westfall.

Westfall was raised in the Berrien Springs area and now resides in St. Joe with his wife and two children.
