Fans of the Saugatuck Douglas area of Michigan’s Great Southwest have an opportunity to help themselves while helping small businesses in that vacation mecca under a new community support program from the Saugatuck Douglas Area Business Association (SDABA) Board, in conjunction with Consumer’s Energy. It’s called the Our Town SDABA Bucks Program.
To assist in a very challenging time, Consumers Energy is helping community members stretch their dollars while also supporting small businesses and their employees in Michigan. They are providing a dollar-for-dollar match for gift cards/certificates purchased through the SDABA.
The “Our Town” SDABA Bucks promotion will double the amount shoppers can spend at SDABA businesses. For example, when you buy $50 in cards/certificates you get $100 to spend.
A total of more than $20,000.00 is slated to be sold over the next few months and will have a 12/31/2021 expiration date on all offers sold through the program. That means direct business to the door of SDABA businesses. Just this past month, December, over $2,000.00 of SDABA Bucks were already sold before the official start of the program of today, January 4th, 2021. Due to the already increased and anticipated sales of SDABA bucks, there will be a $300.00 purchase limit to consumers so as to “spread the wealth.”
