Southwest Michigan families will have one of  their first chances to experience the new Harbor Shores Wee Golf Course later this fall, thanks to a free community event hosted on Saturday, October 25, from 1 to 4 p.m.

The open-house style gathering marks the launch of “Conybeare + Community,” a new annual event series created by Conybeare Law to give back to local residents. Admission is free and open to all ages, with activities designed to make the day both fun and family-friendly.

Highlights include:

  • Walks and playtime on the new Wee Course, designed as a welcoming, scaled-down introduction to golf

  • A friendly high school match between the St. Joseph and Lakeshore Varsity Women’s Golf teams, complete with custom golf bag gifts for both squads

  • A kids’ activity zone, yard games, and family photo opportunities

  • Complimentary light bites and treats from area businesses; local brews available.

  • A raffle drawing with a $1,500 prize package — featuring a 55” Samsung Frame TV, a full-size RTIC cooler stocked with beverages, and gift cards to favorite local spots including Silver Beach Pizza, Grand Mere Inn, and The Mason Jar Café

Raffle tickets will be sold for $5 each, with all proceeds benefiting the Boys & Girls Club of Benton Harbor. Conybeare Law will match funds raised, up to $5,000.

Barry Conybeare, president of Conybeare Law, said the new event series is about gratitude and connection. “Southwest Michigan is our home. This is about giving back—creating space to connect, have fun, and support causes that matter.”

For Harbor Shores, the event is also an opportunity to introduce its newest attraction. While the championship course has drawn national attention, the Wee Course was designed to be more approachable and playful — an inviting way for beginners and families to enjoy golf together.

Local businesses including Three Bites Bakery, Finny Lou, North Pier Brewing Co., and Round Barn are also contributing to make the day memorable.

With its mix of outdoor fun, youth sports, local flavor, and community spirit, organizers say October 25 is the perfect chance to explore the new Wee Course — and enjoy a free fall afternoon close to home.
