“Coolest Thing Made in Michigan” Draws Record Voting Rate

We hear routinely from Lansing that the Election Day turnout is on pace to be a record next month with huge volumes of people seeking absentee ballots. Meanwhile, voting is also underway at a record-setting pace on the “Coolest Thing Made in Michigan,” which includes devices crafted by ADAMS & Son, Inc. of Sodus for the pandemic.

The Michigan Manufacturers Association tells us that thousands of votes have already been cast to help decide the 2020 “Coolest Thing Made in Michigan,” even as they remind us that this is the last week to vote daily for your favorite product in the People’s Choice Award hosted by the association.

The “Coolest Thing Made in Michigan” is part of the MMA’s MFG Excellence Awards program which celebrates the contributions manufacturers make to Michigan’s economy and local communities, and one of the companies in the running is right down the road at Sodus, where ADAMS & Son have PPE stations and a hand-sanitizer stand in the running.

Round 1 voting runs through this Friday, October 23rd, and anyone can vote daily for up to four products at the link below to determine which products make it into the Top Ten in Round 2, which will open on Monday, November 9th, 2020. The winner of the “Coolest Thing Made in Michigan” will be announced during the virtual MFG Excellence Awards event in January. Here’s a direct link to the voting site: http://coolestthing.mimfg.org
