Chances are excellent that you can’t remember what you had for dinner two days ago, yet you have no trouble whatsoever remembering the exact words to hundreds of songs that you never had any intention at all to learn in the first place. Reality is…that’s how you learned the letters to the alphabet — by singing that little song sounding like “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star.” And we all know our baloney’s first name, right? (O.S.C.A.R.?)
The ability of the human mind to recall things learned decades ago is remarkable. That’s why Musical Imaging Expert Bill Turpen is a highly successful businessman and renowned national speaker. He employs music to get you to remember the names of companies eager to earn your business.
Turpen, who owns and operates Advanced Concepts of Bloomington, Indiana, has created more than 5,000 advertising jingles across the nation. His work has included not only nationally recognized advertisers like Folgers Coffee, General Electric, and Coldstone Creamery, but local businesses such as Austin Tax & Financial of Stevensville, Roger’s Foodland of St. Joseph, Kepners Precision Auto Krafters of Benton Harbor, and the South Haven Public Schools.
Turpen is presenting a free Marketing Workshop that he calls “Brand-Aid,” tomorrow, Tuesday, May 9th, and Wednesday, May 10th, targeted to local business owners and operators who might be interested in learning about his unique experience and seasoned marketing expertise and how it could turn their own company messaging into decidedly measurable results.
The free, no-obligation whatsoever, sessions will take place at the following times and places:
- Tuesday, May 9th — 103.7 South Haven Studios at 11637 M-140 in South Haven at 1:15pm and 3:30pm.
- Wednesday, May 10th — Mid-West Family Studios at 580 E. Napier Avenue in Benton Harbor at 8am, 10:30am, and 3:30pm. Plus a session on Wednesday at 1pm on the second floor at 107 Water Street in downtown Benton Harbor.
Each session runs 75 minutes or less and will showcase ways to increase the effectiveness of one’s advertising, the secret behind the way in which national advertisers make their ads really stick, and how to afford your own brand better continuity and consistency.
“Brand-Aid” will teach business owners and operators who their message can be the one that gets remembered…how many commercials it takes to get measurable results…and how to make your company’s advertising three times more effective.
Turpen says that many national advertisers uses songs — also known as jingles — to get their message locked into the minds of customers. His company has proven time after time that jingles are the most effective tool ever used for message retention.
If you’ve ever heard them sing, “Serve Pro…like it never even happened…” on your radio…that’s what Turpen is talking about. If you’d like to be a part of any of the free sessions in South Haven or Benton Harbor this week, all you have to do is call Alex Harrison to reserve your space at 269-925-1111 (ext 102), or email her at Alexh@wirx.com. She’ll make sure there’s a space for you and you’re ready to go.
