Easter Eggs, Horses, & Fun in Three Oaks

Spring Creek Equestrian Center in Three Oaks wants you to hop on over to Pardee Road for their annual Easter Egg Hunt – With Horses! On Saturday, April 1st, owner and horse trainer Alison Grosse will open the gates to the community, for this fun, interactive, and free event.

Adults and children have participated in the search for eggs in the barn and on the grounds for the past five years, and SCEC is glad to offer this spring activity once more. “Alison loves horses and kids, and she knows the positive impact horses can have on children, as well as adults,” says Sally Bogert of SCEC. “This free event is one way she can give back to her community, provide a fun family event, and share her love of horses with others.”

The public is invited to arrive at 16771 Pardee Road at 2:30 p.m, basket in hand! (Please no plastic bags.) You won’t want to wear your best clothes either; dress for the barn! Take photos with the Easter Bunny and S’More the pony, and delight in petting the other horses on site.

Since 2012, Spring Creek Equestrian Center has offered an outdoor arena, heated indoor arena, and wooded riding trails in Three Oaks, giving riders a choice of venues in which to practice. “Alison and her staff encourage beginners and challenge advanced equestrians to improve their horsemanship skills in a nurturing environment,” says SCEC.

“The stable offers a lot of activities for kids that involve horses – riding lessons for kids ages three and up, day camps and overnight camps with horses, movie nights and birthday parties with horses, participation in local horse shows in the summer, and holiday events with horses,” Sally says.

SCEC has also established the Spring Creek Horses Help Foundation, which provides scholarships to local youth and individuals in order to participate in equine-assisted learning through home school classes, one on one learning, and group sessions. They have partnered with the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Southwest Michigan and River of Life Christian School to bring education to our communities.

The Easter Egg Hunt With Horses on April 1st is free to the public, but your RSVP is requested (to make sure there are enough eggs!) Please email Alison at algrosse@yahoo.com or text her at 269-756-3894. Find more information about the Spring Creek Equestrian Center at springcreek-equestrian.com.
