Expanding Wightman Team Adds New Quartet of Survey Talent

The rapidly growing professional team at Wightman, headquartered in Benton Harbor, continues to expand — this time adding four new professional crew members to join field teams around the Wightman circuit. Survey teams for the firm which is anchored along Pipestone Road just off of I-94 in Benton Charter Township will get the following new crewmen:

  • Mark Jakubik of Lansing, Michigan, joins Wightman’s Allegan office as a professional surveyor. He has five years of experience as a surveyor, crew chief, and field engineer, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and Surveying Engineering from Michigan Technological University. He has worked on section corner remonumentation in Ingham and Eaton counties as part of a larger statewide project.
  • Keegan Vandoorne of Grand Haven, Michigan, has been hired as a survey crew chief based in the company’s Allegan office. He brings five years of survey experience to the role, including that of survey crew chief, with experience in pipeline and land surveying. He has attended Muskegon Community College.
  • Damien Hill of Coloma, Michigan, has become a survey crew member based in Wightman’s Benton Harbor office. He has worked in surveying for 11 years as an instrument technician and a junior party chief. He has attended Pima Community College in Tucson, Arizona.
  • Jacob Richards of Howard City, Michigan, has been hired as a survey crew chief based in Wightman’s Portage office. He brings five years of surveying experience to Wightman, including pipeline projects in ten states. He has attended Ferris State University.
