Fire Destroys Arlington Trading Post in Bangor

Firefighters in Van Buren County were working together early today  to fight a big fire in Bangor.  The blaze broke out at Arlington Trading Post on M-43.  It was first noticed by a Bangor police officer on routine patrol and the call went out for the Bangor Fire Department.   It was quickly apparent that help would be needed and South Haven Area Emergency Services was called.  They were joined by Hartford, Lawrence, Covert Township and Columbia Township fire fighters.  No injuries had been reported at midday and no word yet on the cause of the fire or a damage estimate.

Arlington Trading Post is known for its large selection of outdoor, metal ‘yard art’, as well as as a garden center.
