First annual South Haven Boo Bash this month

Set for October 28 is the first ever South Haven Boo Bash.

Lori Krieger with the South Haven Convention and Visitors Bureau tells us this replaces the former Haven Harvest Festival, which was held in years prior to COVID. Organizers wanted a single day filled with Halloween fun. It’ll start at noon at the Huron Street Pavilion.

Krieger says there will be plenty going on.

“We’ll have music under the pavilion all day, we’ve got six different food trucks that are coming in, we’ve got bubbles and balloon animals with Squiggles and Smaxy the Clowns,” Krieger said. “The South Haven Center for the Arts will be doing something at their place. Decadent Dog will be putting on a pet costume parade and the winners will be announced at the Boo Bash Stage. We’re also going to have a human costume contest. All of this is going to take place at the Boo Bash stage under the pavilion.”

There will be trunk or treating, local businesses will hold all sorts of promotions, and the Headless Horseman will ride through town starting at 6:30.

The event will be free to attend, and organizers hope this is the start of a fall tradition in the community. You can find the full schedule here.
