Former NFL star, Kalamazoo’s TJ Duckett speaks at LMC on Mental Health Awareness: Break the Stigma

 Lake Michigan College’s Student Well-Being and Accessibility office has announced a special visit from TJ Duckett, former NFL player and mental health advocate, as part of Break the Stigma Mental Health Awareness Month. Throughout February, the college has hosted a series of events aimed at reducing mental health stigma, increasing awareness of campus and community resources, and encouraging students to seek support when needed.

On Wednesday, February 25th, Duckett will share his lived experience navigating pressure, identity, and resilience in a presentation to LMC students, faculty, staff, and the community.

Duckett grew up in Kalamazoo, starred in football for Loy Norrix High School and went on to be the Number 18 NFL Overall Draftee in 2002 after a great career at Michigan State University.
