Dr. Robert Flood is expanding his team in St. Joseph and extending his office hours to make it more convenient for busy patients seeking eye-care and eye-wear in the Southtown neighborhood of the city. A new licensed Optometrist joins the team at Dr. Flood's Vision Center at the corner of Niles and Van Brunt Avenues as they add an extra hour of service most week days going forward.
Dr. Joshua Byers, who hails originally from Saginaw, joins the crew with Dr. Flood, having graduated from Michigan Lutheran Seminary, Ferris State University and the Michigan College of Optometry. Dr, Byers has completed externship rotations at the Wm. Jennings Bryan Dorn VA Medical Center in Columbia, South Carolina and is wrapping up a similar assignment at Eglin Air Force Base in the Florida panhandle.
Byers and his wife, Krista, a substitute teacher who originally hailed from Sebewaing, Michigan, are looking forward to settling into Michigan's Great Southwest and enjoying the great outdoors. They are coming from Fort Walton Beach, Florida for the new Optometry job with Dr. Flood's Vision Center.
The Vision Center will expand weekday hours, Monday through Thursday, to 9am until 6pm daily, increasing by an hour from their old 9-to-5 routine, while Fridays and Saturdays will remain the same with a 9am until 1pm schedule.
