Harbor Freight Tools, the family-owned, nationwide company that was started in Southern California, today announced they are planning to open a new location in Niles.
According to the company, the new store will be located at 1250 Bell Road and is expected to open this winter.
“We’ve been looking to open a location in Niles for a number of years so that we can provide the tools and equipment at tremendous values to the community,” said Trey Feiler, Senior Vice President, Real Estate and Construction for Harbor Freight Tools. “In addition to finding a great location, we were attracted by the availability of great Associates in the Niles area, and we look forward to having them join the Harbor Freight team.”
Construction has begun at the new location and the company notes they are using local workers and companies from the surrounding Niles area. An official opening date will be announced closer to opening.
The company expects to bring between 25 and 30 new jobs to the community, including sales and logistic supervisors, sales associates, and seasonal opportunities.
The company opened its first store in 1980. Today Harbor Freight Tools has over 1,400 stores across the country and 28,000 associates.
